My First Movie Review!

BRAINSTORMING - She's The Man
  • SO funny.
  • Amanda Bynes rocks.
  • Channing Tatum is good looking.
  • This movie never gets old.
  • Girls have just as much of a right as guys to play a particular sport.
  • Good plot.
  • Disguised Amanda Bynes as a boy pretty well--good cotsumes.
  • Tasteful characters, they all work together very well.
  • I don't believe anyone would ever be in Viola's situation in real life, but that's what makes it funny.
  • Good movie for teens
  • The characters in it look a little older than their characters are portrayed in the movie.
  • Great soundtrack
  • The relationship between the mother and the father is interesting
  • Amanda Bynes, in real life, lays low and isn't in too many movies. That makes the character seem more real.
  • The love relationships in the movie are realistic

REVIEW OF SHE'S THE MAN
"She's the Man" has been one of my favorite movies for a long, long time.  It came out in 2006 and I still watch it all the time!  It is funny, clever, well-acted, and keeps your attention the entire time; almost every part will make you laugh.  The plot of the story is funny and witty at the same time, and it's hard to believe that anyone would go to such lengths just to play soccer.  I believe there is also a subliminal message of women's rights in this movie because the early conflict in the story is because they cut the girl's soccer team at school.  Viola's boyfriends, along with his coach, also try to explain the the girls that girls are not as physically fit or as strong or as fast as guys, so there isn't a point in having the team anyway.  That leads to her spontaneous act of pretending to be a boy in order to make the boys soccer team.  Amanda Bynes is so brilliantly funny in this and with the help of the supporting actors, it makes a very funny movie.  This is a fun anf appropriate movie to watch with the family or friends or anyone for that matter. I believe it's on the border of being a chick flick, but I know boys that enjoy the movie just as much as I do!  Amanda Bynes does not over do it with her movies, and when she is in a movie, she always does so well and it's an instant classic in my book.  All the relationships in the movie are realistic and interesting. We have the divorced parents, and the jerk boyfriend, and they psycho girlfriend, and the sister brother relationship that everyone longs to have.  All around, this movie is a good movie for all to enjoy!
